Increasing Fpreclosures and Unemployment Show Signs Recession Still Continues
05-26-2009

The amount of foreclosures in April went up 32 percent from the year before. There hasn’t been any slowing down in foreclosures except for the moratoriums that existed throughout the holiday months through November to January. To many this was only delaying the inevitable. Moratoriums may not be as effective as planned, but it was effective for a few to stay out of foreclosure.

Some experts say the recession is over, however, the number of homes that are in foreclosure continue to grow month to month since the moratoriums have ended. Some states have started another moratorium and different methods in getting the homeowners to talk over their loans with their lenders.

With increasing unemployment and declining home prices shows more will end up in foreclosure over the course of the coming months. Many homeowners are left wondering if they be able to receive any kind of help even though they don’t qualify for the federal programs recently put into law. It has been difficult for many of the qualifying homeowners to just receive help or to find someone that will help them since their lenders do not respond to their cry for help.
