Miami Hotline Offers Free Advice to Those Facing Foreclosure

Miami, Florida has experienced so many foreclosures that they continue to come up with programs and non-profit organization that help homeowners try to avoid foreclosure. The Miami legal aide is offering their services for free. They have a hotline that offers free advice for those experiencing late mortgage payments or facing a possible foreclosure.

They suggest going to the website www.ushud.gov to find a listing of housing counselors in your area that offer free advice. These counselors will try to facilitate the modifications to help keep the homeowner in their home and away from foreclosure. These counselors can meet with you and offer free advice in how to talk with the lender and try to get the loan modified.

Many people think that they have to pay someone to help them stay out of foreclosure which isn’t true. Do not turn to a company that demands money up front before they begin anything to help you. It isn’t necessary to turn to a lawyer and pay them for the same advice you can get for free. In Florida, the foreclosure phone bank hotline number is 305-597-4404. This number can be called by non-residents of Miami and the lawyers will still offer free information by phone.
