Arizona Homeowners Suffer Through Many Foreclosure Prevention Scams

Scams continue to be a problem with many homeowners that are seeking help to stay out of foreclosure. Homeowners who haven’t begun searching are also being scammed as they face possible foreclosure. In Arizona there are many homeowners that are unable to get their loans modified by their lender which leads many scammers to call their homes hoping to find a victim.

There were two different homeowners that fell behind on their payments and received phone calls by scamming company. They lost $8,000 between them and ended up going to the police about it. The FBI even got involved and found the person leading the company of New Property Solutions. The guy was located in Arizona and even began a new company that was listed under the corporation commission as a loss prevention business. The guy is charged with theft. One of the homeowners was able to get back $2,000 of the money she put out to the company.

In 2008 there were 1700 complaints of mortgage fraud made in Arizona and so far this year there are more than 1,000. Check out the website www.azfamily.com to find out more information regarding avoiding scams and to report scams that occurred in Arizona.
