Miami Homeowners Uses New Program to Avoid Foreclosure

There is a new program that seems to be effective in Miami, Florida. The new program is focused on helping homeowners avoid foreclosure. There have been families facing foreclosure and they were able to utilize the new program to keep their homes. The new program will pay fees such as legal costs and additional fees tagged for being late on the mortgage. Some homeowners could receive $7,500 in order to help them get up to date with their mortgage payments and stay out of foreclosure.

The new program in Miami has helped several homeowners avoid foreclosure. One family in particular managed to avoid losing their home since the program gave them enough money to keep afloat. However, they would also have to prove that they can continue to pay on their monthly mortgage in order to receive the funds. If the homeowners do not have a way to show proof that they are able to pay their mortgage after receiving help then they will not be able to receive funds to become current on their payments.

In order to keep the property, the borrower will have to have all of the money that will bring them current on their mortgage as well as any legal fees and taxes that they fell behind on. $7,500 may not be enough and in this case the homeowner may be eligible for more assistance. However, the homeowner will need to keep in mind that the money will also have to be paid back in the future.
