Celebrities Join Hope Now to Help Prevent Foreclosures

Hope Now has begun touring across the country to inform homeowners who are struggling to pay their mortgages that there is help out there for them. The second state they went to was Georgia. They just so happened to bring along some famous people to bring more attention to their mission. Mary J. Blige and Big Boi who is a part of the duo OutKast joined Hope Now in order to get the word out there.

Counselors are available at all of the meetings developed by Hope Now. They assist homeowners that are unable to pay their mortgages and unaware that they have an opportunity to fix their problem. Georgia has a high foreclosure count and have become victims of profit counseling scams. They urge people to call only resource centers that are non-profit. Georgia residents doubled the numbers of calls to the Hope Now organization.

Hope Now is also traveling to other states. They will be going to Miami, Florida next. Then they will visit Ohio and New Jersey. After the large response they received in Georgia they hope that the Miami will have even more of a turn out. They simply want to help homeowners to get moving in the right direction. Even though it may be the first step, it is a major one. Too many homeowners are not aware of their options in receiving help and continue to get scammed out of their homes and money.
