North Carolina Foreclosures Go Down

Raleigh, North Carolina has seen foreclosures go down by 29 percent when comparing to the year before. Their January numbers in 2009 were fewer than those of 2008. One out of every 1700 homes foreclosed in Raleigh during January of this year. There is a new city initiative that has become a focus in the city of Raleigh. They are trying to keep the numbers of foreclosures down by utilizing non-profit organizations as well as other organizations that assist for a small fee.

Save Raleigh Homes has helped more than 300 homeowners save their homes and stay out of foreclosure. Their website is www.saveraleighhomes.org and their hotline is 1-800-900-2345. They have counselors available to discuss the homeowners options in keeping their homes.

Knowing that there are many companies out there ready to scam struggling homeowners out of their money, they offer their customers reputable names of agencies, information, and resources in order for them to receive their assistance. They don’t want their customers to feel they are being taken advantage of especially when they are asked to sign papers. They don’t want homeowners to feel they have nowhere to turn for help. They encourage the homeowner to investigate their resources and ask as many questions as they want in order to receive help especially from their organization.
